U.S. President Trump says a deal with Canada is on the horizon. Based on the info we are getting, nothing has been signed yet, but Canada’s Premiers have been approached by Prime Minister Carney in regards to a few subject matters. One of them is putting U.S. booze back on the shelves. But regardless of what deal is signed ahead of Friday’s deadline, it seems pretty clear that the idea of banishing every single tariff is off the table. Do you think a tariff reduction will be enough for the Canadian industries that are in danger? Kristy Cameron checks in with Lisa Raitt, a former Conservative Cabinet Minister and a member of Prime Minister Carney’s Advisory Committee on Canada-USA Economic Relations. Then, we gather the latest developments from CFRA’s Andrew Pinsent.
