The City of Ottawa will launch a new ad campaign later this Summer to encourage federal public servants to spend more time in the Downtown Core. That is, once their work hours are done for the day. It’s an effort to help alleviate pressure on OC Transpo buses and the O-Train fleet, as well as Ottawa’s roadways. OC Transpo’s General Manager isn’t ruling out a redesign of Moodie Station on the O-Train’s Western Extension. This comes after a Canada Day downpour wreaked a lot of havoc in the area. However, Rick Leary says it’s ‘too early to definitively determine’ whether it’s needed, or what it could involve. A few weeks ago, city councillors who represented nearby ridings were given a tour of the site to assess the July 1st damages, one of whom was College Ward councillor Laine Johnson. She joins Kristy Cameron on Ottawa Now.
