August 28, 2026

Kristy Cameron has returned from her vacation! It was…eventful. More on that later. A ski resort in Jay, Vermont recently posted a message on Instagram, calling for Canadian tourists to come back. That’s because it relies heavily on its strong community of Canadian skiers, riders, and visitors – fewer of whom have been dropping by since the trade war began last year. We dig through the data with Beacon Hill-Cyrville councillor Tim Tierney. Plus, a dedicated team of staff and volunteers at Petrie Island have spent the entire Summer gathering turtle eggs and keeping them safe in incubators. Now, those eggs are hatching, and the tiny turtle babies are ready for the Ottawa River.
