OC Transpo’s General Manager isn’t ruling out a redesign of Moodie Station on the O-Train’s Western Extension. This comes after a Canada Day downpour wreaked a lot of havoc in the area. However, Rick Leary says it’s ‘too early to definitively determine’ whether it’s needed, or what it could involve. A few weeks ago, city councillors who represented nearby ridings were given a tour of the site to assess the July 1st damages, one of whom was College Ward councillor Laine Johnson. Ontario Premier Doug Ford spent $25,000 on a new Lake Ontario sign. OTTAWA – Prime Minister Mark Carney rebuffed U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s recent comments that Canada pulled out of trade talks with the U.S. due to political reasons. “I don’t think, with all respect, appointed, unelected cabinet members in the United States are experts on Canadian politics,” said Carney, during an announcement in Thunder Bay, Ont., on Thursday.
