For the past 18 months, Canada and the United States have been locked in a trade war. That stalemate has reached new levels in recent weeks – and we might have a map war on our hands as well. Last Thursday, U.S. President Trump signed an executive order, changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America. Days later, Ontario’s Premier clapped back in Grimsby, unveiling a Lake Ontario sign on the Canadian shoreline. On Google Maps, which is an American-based company, the Great Lake is now labeled Lake America. It sounds like Apple Maps could follow suit. And on a variety of Canadian websites that display maps, that Trumpian change is on full display. But not on MapQuest! General Manager Doug Berger explains why in Hour 3.
