Labour Day schedule changes

The City of Ottawa would like to remind residents of the following schedule changes and City service impacts for the Labour Day holiday on Monday, September 7.

• The City’s 3-1-1 Contact Centre will be open for urgent matters only. Please visit ottawa.ca/311 to submit a service request online.
• ServiceOttawa’s Client Services counters and phone lines will be closed. Counters are located at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West), Ben Franklin Place (101 Centrepointe Drive), and Orléans (255 Centrum Boulevard). 
• The Provincial Court and Administrative Penalty System Hearing area located at Mary Pitt Centre (100 Constellation Drive) and the supporting counter and phone lines will be closed.
• The Business Licensing Centre at 735 Industrial Avenue will be closed. 
• The City of Ottawa Spay and Neuter Clinic at 26 Concourse Gate will be closed.
• The City of Ottawa Archives at the James Bartleman Centre will be closed from Saturday, September 5 to Monday, September 7.

• There will be no curbside green bin, recycling, garbage or bulky item collection on Monday, September 7. Pick up will take place on Tuesday, September 8. In addition, the collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
• Residents can sign up to receive collection reminders and service alerts by email or phone call on the collection calendar page.
• Multi-residential garbage containers and bulky items will be collected on the regular scheduled day. Collection of multi-residential recycling containers and green bins will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
• The Trail Waste Facility Landfill will be open on Monday, September 7 from 9 am to 5 pm.

• All City parking regulations apply.

• OC Transpo bus and train service will run on a Sunday schedule. 
• O-Train Line 1 will run from 8 am to 11 pm. 
• O-Train Lines 2 and 4 will run from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm. 
• Rural Shopper Route 301 will not run.  
• Special weekend service to summer destinations will run throughout the weekend and on Monday, September 7, with service to: 
  • The Canada Aviation and Space Museum on Route 125. 
  • Petrie Island on Route 139. 
  • The Canada Agriculture and Food Museum on Route 8. 
• Use the Travel Planner or Transit, the recommended app for OC Transpo customers, to plan your trip. 
• On Labour Day and every Saturday, Sunday and statutory holiday, take advantage of the 2-for-1 DayPass, where two customers can ride all day for $12.25. Purchase the 2-for-1 DayPass at any ticket machine or from your bus operator. Kids 10 and under can ride for free every day on OC Transpo buses, the O-Train and Para Transpo. Youth ages 11 to 18 ride free on weekday evenings after 5 pm, weekends, and holidays, including Labour Day.  
• The Rideau Centre OC Transpo Customer Service Centre will be open on Monday, September 7 from 10 am to 6 pm. 
• The OC Transpo Lost and Found at St-Laurent Station will be closed. Customers can submit an inquiry about a lost item at octranspo.com/lostandfound. 
• The customer service line at 613-560-5000 will be open 9 am to 5 pm. 

• Regular bookings or recurring trips for Monday, September 7 are automatically cancelled. Customers can book trips for Labour Day starting Monday, August 31 by calling 613-560-5000 or using My Para Transpo. 
• The reservations line and My Para Transpo will be open from 7 am to 5 pm for booking trips. 
• To get trip details and cancel a trip, the information and cancellation phone line will be open from 6 am to 12:30 am, and the text 57272 service (standard rates apply) will be open from 6 am to 9 pm. 
• You can also get trip details and cancel trips anytime, 24/7, through the automated phone system or My Para Transpo. 
• The Taxi Coupon line will be closed.

• Some recreation complexes and stand-alone indoor pools will be open and operating on a modified schedule. Many are closed on Labour Day or for the weekend. Please check the facility pages for details.
• Splash pads will be open, weather permitting.
• Wading pools and outdoor pools are closed for the season. Beaches will not be supervised.
• City-operated museums, galleries, Ben Franklin Place and Shenkman Arts Centre will be closed.
• Meridian Theatres @ Centrepointe remains closed.

• The Site mobile van will operate from 5 pm to 11:30 pm. 
• Visit the ParentingInOttawa web page for vaccination clinic hours and availability. 
• The Sexual Health Clinic and satellite clinics will be closed. 
• The harm reduction drop-in at 179 Clarence Street will be closed.
• Dental clinics will be closed. 
• The Parenting-In-Ottawa drop-ins will be closed on Monday, September 7. 
• Connect with a registered nurse from Health811 for free, secure, and confidential health advice. Service is available in English and French, with translation support also offered in other languages. 
• Our immunization program telephone line will be closed. You can update your child's immunization record using either the CANImmunize App or the Immunization Connect Ontario (ICON) Tool. For more information visit our Updating and Retrieving Immunizations web page.  

• All four Employment and Social Services offices will be closed on Monday, September 7:
  • 370 Catherine Street
  • 2339 Ogilvie Road
  • 100 Constellation Drive
  • 2020 Walkley Road

• All municipal child care centres will be closed on Monday, September 7. 

• All branches of Ottawa Public Library (including Bookmobile, Home Services and InfoService) will be closed on Monday, September 7. Digital content and program listings are available through the Ottawa Public Library website. Virtual programs are available on OPL’s YouTube channel. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, September 8.
