It pays to pay attention. It also pays to be on time. And if you are skipping class moving forward, you will pay for it later. Starting this year, high school students in Ontario are being graded on their attendance and participation. It will account for a final 15 percent mark for Grades 9 and 10 and a final 10 percent mark for Grades 11 and 12. But what happens if the student is away for personal reasons or attending to a family matter? Kristy Cameron sifts through the CFRA textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Meantime, it’s no secret that Downtown Ottawa and Centretown have changed a lot over the years. Back in May, we learned that property crimes in Ottawa was up 28 percent compared to last year’s data. Not only have they seen some of these changes with their own eyes, they have also fallen victim to these incidents as well.
