Some Cape Breton residents no longer stranded as flooding recovery continues

More than 200 millimetres of rain fell in less than two days across Cape Breton island, causing roads to be damaged or washed away and stranding some residents.
There have been at least 110 confirmed tornadoes across Canada so far this year, surpassing the average of 65. Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario had the highest numbers compared to other provinces.
