Local honey producers weathering double sting of U.S. tariffs, winter losses

It’s the busiest time of year at a family-owned honey farm southeast of Ottawa but its owners say this season isn’t all sweet, amidst the sting of U.S. tariffs and winter hive losses for some beekeepers in the area.
While the Legislature was originally intended to resume on Sept. 14, the Ford government pushed that date until Oct. 27 leading to criticism from opposition MPPs.
