‘Audacious’: Canada offers work permits to lure tech workers in the U.S., but will they come — and stay?

Ottawa’s latest program to poach foreign tech workers in the U.S. closed Monday night, less than 48 hours after it opened.

The program, earlier called the Canada Greener Homes Grant program, was first launched by the federal government in 2021, but lapsed in 2024.
