Hydro One crews are assessing the damages after overnight thunderstorms knocked out power to thousands of customers across Ontario, including parts of Central and Eastern Ontario. This morning, over 32,000 Hydro One customers still couldn’t turn the lights on, as several outages remain unresolved. To make matters worse, the humidity outside hasn’t wavered. A warning to our listeners that portions of Hour 2 are deeply disturbing. Two children have been found dead in a double murder-suicide, according to the Ottawa Police Service. At around 10 o’clock this morning, officers conducted a wellness check at a home on Mandevilla Crescent in Ottawa’s Findlay Creek neighbourhood.
