A new survey shows that 8-in-10 Canadians feel their vehicles are vulnerable to theft, despite a recent drop in car thefts nationwide. Data from Angus Reid and Équité Association reveals that, while thefts did decrease in 2025, thieves are using advanced technology to bypass standard security systems. One of those tools is a ‘key fob relay attack’.
