When the new NHL season begins in October, Hockey Night In Canada will live on. However, the legendary Saturday night program has officially played its final shift on Channel 8. In a joint statement between Rogers Sportsnet and the CBC, Canada’s public broadcaster will no longer carry NHL games on Saturday nights, ending a tradition that has stood for 75 years.
