
Media are invited to attend a virtual technical briefing on the Housing Needs Assessment.

Location: Champlain Room, Ottawa City Hall
Councillor Laura Dudas, Chair of the Community Services Committee, and Housing Services staff will be available to answer questions. Media will be able to ask questions ten minutes after the technical briefing ends and Councillors have finished asking staff their questions.
Residents will be able to watch the technical briefing and media availability on the City’s YouTube channel.

A Canadian man detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has died in custody, according to the agency.
The cause of death is currently under investigation. He was identified as 49-year-old Johnny Noviello in a news release on Wednesday. He was being held in Miami at the Bureau of Prisons Federal Detention Center pending removal proceedings, the release said, when he was found unresponsive on the afternoon of June 23.
