
W hen I walked into the cabinet room in the Centre Block of Parliament for my first cabinet meeting in 2015, I remember feeling a mixed sense of excitement and trepidation. Starting this Summer, as part of a new pilot project, certain stores in select Quebec cities will be open late on weekends. Gatineau is among the list of participants, with the province citing its geographical location near the Ontario border as a primary reason.
