     The Israel Defense Forces killed Anas al-Sharif, who Israel says posed as a journalist for the Qatari Al Jazeera network but was actively serving as the head of a Hamas terrorist cell. 
 Al-Sharif, who was slain in Gaza City on Saturday, was responsible for orchestrating and advancing rocket attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops, the Israeli military said.

     A Delta Air Lines flight flying on Wednesday evening from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam was forced into an emergency landing after it encountered significant turbulence that injured 25 people on board.
  
 The Airbus A330-900 landed safely at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where it was met by
 the airport fire department and paramedics. Initial medical attention was provided to passengers and crew, and some people were taken to area hospitals.

     A New Hampshire man is stuck in Canada after the U.S. Customs and Border Protection refused him reentry. 
 Chris Landry is a legal U.S. resident and a Canadian citizen. He lives in Peterborough, New Hampshire, with his partner and five children, and is employed as a manufacturing machine operator. 
 On Sunday, he was stopped while trying to cross the border at Houlton, Maine. He and three of his children (two under 18 and one aged 20) were visiting his father, grandmother and extended relatives in New Brunswick. He says this is an annual trip, with returns across the N.B.-Maine border....

    Canada's Olympic and Paralympic athletes and coaches will get $3.11 million in funding for mental health services this winter. Secretary of Sport Adam van Koeverden, an Olympic kayak champion, made the announcement Monday in Montreal.
