Ontario’s regulator of medical doctors has, for the second time, cleared a former high-profile emergency room physician for alleged gender discrimination and improper billing. McGill law professors, who have been trying to negotiate their first collective agreement with the university for almost two years, are set to go on strike again Monday ahead of the start of the academic year.The union, the Association of McGill Professors of Law (AMPL), which was certified in November, 2022, held a two-month strike this spring. The professors are seeking better pay and more involvement in the faculty’s governance.

Robin Moore was extensively searching for months to find any information about her great-great grandfather, James Hisson, who was an African American settler to Canada in the 19th century, for a family tree she's building. In June, Moore took a trip from Chicago to the Ingersoll Rural Cemetery and found that Hisson was buried at an unmarked grave site at the back of the cemetery.
