Following the collapse of trade talks between Canada and the U.S. last week, the federal government has released a long list of U.S.-made products that will be subject to counter-tariffs of between 15 and 50 per cent, effective Sept. 8. The counter-tariffs are expected to cover $27.6 billion worth of imports from the U.S. and come after Trump’s latest 50 per cent levies on Canadian goods came into effect on Saturday.
