As we heard earlier this morning, Ottawa Police will have a second pair of eyes in the sky, an effort to help its officers crack down on carjackers and street-racers. That story is coming up in Hour 4. Switching gears to data breaches, Canadian organizations wind up paying an average of $6.32 million to resolve those incidents. That’s according to a new study from IBM Canada. However, this price tag has gone down compared to last year’s stats, as Canadian organizations were paying an average of $6.94 million in 2023. That’s almost a decrease of 9 percent.

On Monday, it was announced that OC Transpo would be reducing its midday O-Train service, effective this Fall.
