Ottawa123 Hosts Consultations on the Municipal Elections Act, July 16 at City Hall

Ottawa123, in partnership with City for all Women Initiative (CAWI) and th Coalition of Community Health and Resource Centres of Ottawa, is welcoming all Ottawa residents to take part in the Province of Ontario’s Consultations on the Municipal Elections Act.

We are hosting a consultation at Ottawa City Hall and want your feedback on the changes you would like to see.

When: Thursday, July 16, 2015; 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Where: Jean Piggot Hall, Ottawa City Hall

Share your thoughts on ranked choice voting, campaign finance rules, the candidate nomination process, enforcement of election rules, accessibility, voter eligibility, third party advertising, or any other aspect of the Municipal Elections Act.

We will have opening remarks from city councillors and a presentation from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing on the review to the Municipal Elections Act before we split into groups. Light refreshments will also be served.
