The latest results from the Education Quality and Accountability Office indicate that in spite of all the efforts to improve how we teach our children in primary school, their math and English scores continue to drop. So now that we have a new provincial government, it is their turn to try. The latest reports on what they plan to do make me shutter.
Their solution using “new math” looks like this:
Take the last test scores, take away (subtract) money to school boards, add more students per teacher multiply confusion by suggesting a redo of several subject curricula and start on-line course work, and divide the province’s population on the issue of sex education.
Based on what we have heard so far, I predict a failing grade come exam time.
