One dead in float plane crash in remote area of B.C.’s central coast

Police say one person is dead after a float plane crashed in a remote area along British Columbia’s central coast.Mounties in the Vancouver Island community of Port Hardy, southwest of the crash site, say the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Victoria notified the detachment of the crash on Wednesday night.They say a specialized search and rescue unit went to the scene and found one of the plane’s three occupants had died in the crash.
