Renfrew County has been dealing with a lot of school bus curveballs to start the new learning season. Today, education leaders across the region are calling on the Ford government provide sufficient funding to all school boards, a plea that will hopefully address the increased school bus transportation costs in the area. To this point, nearly 11,000 students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 have gone without access to school transportation in September, a reality that is directly linked to these dilemmas. OSSTF President Karen Littlewood joins the program in Hour 2. Meantime, several American states are trying to clear a massive path of destruction that was left behind by Hurricane Helene. CTV’s Katie Griffin has the latest on that story.
