Anti-suicide religious group files constitutional challenge against Waterloo, Que.

A Quebec religious group has filed a constitutional challenge against the municipality of Waterloo after it ticketed one of its members for going door-to-door to share its message about suicide prevention.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith on Saturday urged roughly 6,000 United Conservative Party members to hold her and her government to account, but not to splinter into competing camps and attack each other.UCP members on Friday and Saturday converged in Red Deer for the party’s annual meeting, where attendees will vote on whether they support Ms. Smith’s leadership of the party. Voting started Saturday morning and results are expected in the early evening.
