NDP unveil campaign pledge to remove GST on internet, heat, diapers and more

The NDP would remove the GST on all “essentials” if it forms the government after the next election, NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said Thursday.The announcement comes as the cost of living has played a central role in multiple provincial elections this fall, and was a key factor in the U.S. presidential race that concluded last week with a Donald Trump victory.
