Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Wed. November 13th, 2024

November 13, 2024
In his Wednesday morning press conference, Mayor Mark Sutcliffe admitted that a healthy chunk of the 2025 Draft Budget is designed to be a temporary fix. He is also well aware that some of these moves are not ideal for residents. Nevertheless, he is preaching patience, in hopes that the efficient approach turns out to be the right one. In Hour 2, Kristy Cameron gathers budget reaction from River Ward councillor Riley Brockington and Rideau-Vanier councillor Stephanie Plante. Plus, as we mentioned at the top of the show, Kristy is hosting today’s broadcast from this year’s CHEO Dream Home. CHEO Foundation President Steve Read takes us on a tour of the Manotick mansion…even though you can’t see anything from the radio speakers. Spoiler alert: A lot of people are digging the golf simulator.
