Hour 3 of Ottawa Now for Fri. November 15th, 2024

November 15, 2024
A group of teens are trying to get Toronto city councillors invested into a voting age change. Well, after clearing one major hurdle this week, they have at least generated a serious conversation with Ontario’s biggest city leaders. Should the rest of Canada take the leap of faith and lower the voting age to 16? Kristy Cameron sifts through the textboard and tackles today’s Question of the Day. Meantime, a former Ottawa city councillor is taking aim at City Hall over what she calls a lack of consultation. This is in regards to a series of planned ‘sprung structures’ that are expected to be ready sometime next year. Liberal MP Jenna Sudds vents her frustrations in Hour 3.
