B.C. ends investigation into first known case of avian flu in Canada

British Columbia has closed its investigation into the first known human case of avian flu in Canada despite having been unable to determine the source of the infection, said Provincial Health Officer Bonnie Henry on Tuesday.A teenager, whose age and gender are not being identified by the province, remains in critical condition after falling ill in early November. The teen is unable to breathe on their own but Dr. Henry said “we remain hopeful as they have made some progress in the last few days.”
Members of Edmonton's amateur fighting community are questioning how a local event was run, after a man allegedly died as a result of a charity mixed martial arts match.
