Hundreds of Barrhaven residents gathered on Tuesday night to protest a City of Ottawa proposal, which would install tent-like structures to shelter as much as 300 asylum seekers. Each tent would have a capacity of 150, filled with people who are either fleeing war or persecution. And while there is no final decision on the tent’s location, it is causing a fair bit of controversy within the suburban community. Barrhaven East councillor Wilson Lo joins Kristy Cameron in Hour 2.
