The Bank of Canada has decided to cut interest rates for a fifth consecutive time, as the country’s economy grows at a slower rate than first projected. Angelo Melino, a University of Toronto professor who studies interest rates and inflation, delivers his two cents on today’s decision. Speaking of money, city councillors are gathering at City Hall this afternoon to vote on the 2025 Budget. We get the latest developments from CFRA’s Andrew Pinsent.
