Hamilton council targets big and small to shave about $500K off proposed 2025 city budget

Councillors moved motions on expenses big and small as they sought to add or remove items from the 2025 budget for the City of Hamilton. At the end of Friday, city staff said the proposed average property tax increase went from about 5.7 per cent to about 5.6 per cent.
