Hour 1 of Ottawa Now for Thurs. February 13th, 2025

Back in January of 2022, 47.8 centimetres was dumped on the National Capital Region. On Thursday, just over 3 years later, we were expecting a total of 30 to 40 centimetres, with as much as 5 centimetres per hour falling in the overnight hours. Just over 30 centimetres of the white stuff has hit the ground so far. And with Ottawa’s biggest leaders urging residents to keep the cars at home, the city’s LRT system couldn’t handle Mother Nature’s wrath. We deliver the latest developments with CTV’s Jackie Perez in Hour 1. Then, we take a gander at what’s on the horizon with Doug Gillham, a meteorologist with The Weather Network. As you’ll soon find out, our city could be dealing with another 30 centimetres this weekend, as another blizzard is expected to arrive Saturday night and continue into Sunday morning.
