Second set of remains in Winnipeg-area landfill search identified as Marcedes Myran

Manitoba has identified a second set of human remains at a Winnipeg-area landfill, confirming that they belong to one of two First Nations women whose bodies the province has been searching for at the site since last year. In a statement Monday, the Manitoba government said investigators at the Prairie Green landfill have matched human remains to Marcedes Myran, one of four women murdered in 2022 by a serial killer who was convicted for the crimes last summer.
Provincial police are seeking public assistance to locate two suspects who torched two vehicles in Carleton Place early Saturday. Read More
