Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says she asked the Trump administration to pause its tariff actions until after the Canadian federal election in hopes of seeing a win by Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives.The Premier made her comments in an interview with Breitbart News Saturday on March 8. They resurfaced on the weekend, with the official kickoff of the campaign on Sunday.
Liberal Leader Mark Carney and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will hold media availabilities in Ontario while Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet and Green Party co-leader Jonathan Pedneault hold events in Quebec.
