Gee-Gees beat Stingers to claim U Sports men's hockey title; Bishop's blanks Waterloo for women's crown

The host Ottawa Gee-Gees scored twice in the first period, added another in the second and then held off a late rally for a 3-2 victory over the Concordia Stingers in Sunday's championship final of the U Sports University Cup at TD Place. On the women's side, the Bishop's Gaiters to a 3-0 victory over the host Waterloo Warriors in Sunday's gold-medal final.
Liberal Leader Mark Carney and NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh will hold media availabilities in Ontario while Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet and Green Party co-leader Jonathan Pedneault hold events in Quebec.
