Nine supervised consumption sites in Ontario switch to addiction recovery hubs

The 10 supervised consumption sites located near schools and daycares were given a short-term reprieve to stay open last week. Nine of them have closed regardless.
More than 200 people, including children under the age of six, have been held in “secret” detention at the Port of Detroit in recent months after being sent back to the United States at the Canadian border, a U.S. congresswoman says.Representative Rashida Tlaib of Michigan visited two U.S. Customs and Border Protection detention sites at the port facility near the border crossing to Windsor, Ont., after advocates raised concerns about a lack of appropriate food and medical care for detainees and lawyers’ inability to access their clients in custody.
