Hour 2 of Ottawa Now for Tues. March 11th, 2025

March 11, 2025
Yeah, so remember those energy tariffs that Ontario's Premier launched on a trio of U.S. states? Well, Doug Ford is now withdrawing them. In a small victory for Ontario's leader, he is now scheduled for a meeting in Washington on Thursday. But if America starts to get dirty, Ford says he's saving those energy tariffs for later. Do you think he made the right call by dropping his weapons? CTV political analyst Tom Mulcair delivers his two cents on the situation. Plus, with the Bank of Canada’s rate decision less than 24 hours away, Canadian businesses across various sectors are in a frantic race to ship goods before the new tariffs hit.
