If you were searching for the nearest gas station this morning, you probably spotted a pleasant surprise from Liberal leader Mark Carney. Before dropping the writ on March 23rd, he promised an end to the Carbon Tax, effective April 1st. That promise has now been granted, as gas prices dipped 20 cents overnight. How will this impact production costs, and how much relief will it provide to Canadians? Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Ethan Wallace, the Vice-President of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture. Meantime, as Hudson’s Bay prepares to close 74 stores, what are we going to do with all those empty spaces? We pose that complex question to Kate Camenzuli, the Vice-President of Retail at the Commercial Real Estate Company.
The Liberal election platform said a Carney government would send "more Canadian diplomats and officials abroad" to expand trade and "restore Canadian leadership."
