How bayanihan is grounding Filipino Canadians in 'ethics of care' after Lapu-Lapu Day tragedy

Filipino Canadians are rallying around each other in the aftermath of the Lapu-Lapu Day Festival tragedy, in what's known as bayanihan, the tradition of helping one's community inherent to Filipino culture. One community organizer says it has been a “lifeline” for grieving Filipinos nationwide.
Public transit, cycling and walking will be the "primary and preferred modes" of getting fans to and from the Ottawa Senators' planned downtown arena, says a newly disclosed agreement on the project.
