Speaking at the city’s Transit Committee meeting on Thursday, the Head of OC Transpo says the service isn’t reliable enough. In 2024, Ottawa’s transit system posted a service delivery rate of 98 percent, which is the average over a 12-month period. But if you look at October, to name one example, that rate dipped down to 95.8 percent. Kristy Cameron digs deeper with Noah Vineberg, the President of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 279. It represents OC Transpo bus drivers and maintenance workers. Meantime, traffic on Highway 417 is going to be packed like a sardine can in the coming hours, as the Sens host the Habs tonight.
