Alberta regulator orders oilsands operator to abandon its mining assets

Calgary-based Sunshine Oilsands Ltd. has been ordered to abandon its operations after repeatedly failing to address problems, including cracked pipelines, leaking tanks and other critical repairs, over almost three years.
