Upcoming lane reductions and closure on Hawthorne Avenue and Colonel By Drive
May 23, 2025
Starting on Tuesday, May 27 at 7:30 pm, Colonel By Drive will have overnight lane reductions on the approaches to the Hawthorne Avenue intersection, expected until Monday, June 2 at 6 am. One lane in each direction will be maintained.
Beginning Friday, May 30 at 7 pm, Hawthorne Avenue will be closed between Colonel By Drive and Main Street, expected until Monday June 2, 6 am.
Main Street southbound, which is currently closed due to ongoing construction, will be temporarily reopened between Colonel By Drive and Hawthorne Avenue to accommodate the weekend work on Hawthorne Avenue.
These lane reductions and road closure are to accommodate the ongoing construction for the Greenfield Avenue, Main Street, Hawthorne Avenue et al. reconstruction project.

Detours and signage will be in place for the duration of the closures. Expect delays and plan ahead.
