U.S. court’s tariff ruling stirs questions about U.K.’s trade deal with Trump

The British government is scrambling to understand the impact a U.S. court ruling that blocks most of U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariffs will have on a recently signed trade deal between the U.K. and the U.S. Britain was the first country to reach a deal with Mr. Trump after he announced sweeping tariffs in April on dozens of U.S. trading partners including Canada. The U.K.-U.S. agreement, although limited, was hailed as a model for other countries hoping to win similar relief from Mr. Trump.
