Injured bear shot, killed by police in highway median

Ontario Provincial Police shot and killed an injured young bear in the median of Highway 7 in west Ottawa around noon Tuesday, saying it was seriously injured and suffering with no nearby options to treat it.

Police believe this is an isolated incident contained to the house. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team is taking over the investigation.
