Residents of Sandy Lake First Nation in Northwestern Ontario have been evacuated due to lingering wildfires. One day when he was a kid, Bruce McKean heard a noise coming from a rooming house near his home in Victoria. He went inside and found that the wood stacked beside the furnace was in flames.
