Nighttime lane reductions on Woodroffe Avenue southbound, delays expected
June 13, 2025
Starting June 16 Woodroffe Avenue will be reduced to one lane nightly
During nighttime hours only - from 7 pm to 6 am - starting Monday, June 16 and continuing through Wednesday, June 18, Woodroffe Avenue southbound will be reduced to one lane.
The lane reduction will extend from the intersection of Meadowlands Drive West and Tallwood Drive to approximately 40 metres south of Norice Street.
The lane reduction is required to undertake final road reinstatements associated with watermain work completed earlier in the year on Woodroffe Avenue.
Traffic impacts
As part of this work, the following additional traffic impacts will be in effect:
- One of the left turn lanes from westbound Meadowlands Drive onto southbound Woodroffe Avenue will be closed.
- The right turn lane from eastbound Tallwood Drive onto southbound Woodroffe Avenue will be closed. Right turns will still be permitted at the traffic light.
- Left turns from southbound Woodroffe Avenue onto Norice Street will be prohibited.
- The southbound cycling lane from Meadowlands and Tallwood to Norice will be detoured to the multi-use pathway located on the west side of Woodroffe.
