Toronto police arrest 20 people linked to group involved in tow truck-related violence

An investigation into tow truck industry violence across the Greater Toronto Area has resulted in the arrests of 20 people who are facing more than 100 charges combined, police said Wednesday.Toronto police said they launched a wiretap investigation dubbed Project Yankee last October to gather evidence of a group committing crimes to control the towing industry.
Construction officially kicked off for the new Beverly Heights Senior Community. It will offer 264 resident rooms, including 194 long-term care beds and 70 non-funded beds.

Mounties say a pink blanket, found on a gravel road near the home of Jack and Lilly Sullivan on day one of the search for the missing Nova Scotia children, is one of a variety of seized items that is being forensically examined as part of an “intensive” and “deliberate” major crime investigation. In an update Wednesday, the Northeast Nova RCMP Major Crime Unit said family confirmed the pink blanket belonged to Lilly, 6, who mysteriously disappeared along with her brother Jack, 4, from their home in Lansdowne more than two months ago.
