Sofina Foods ordered to pay $330K over 2023 workplace death

A commercial food processing company has been ordered to pay $330,000 after one of its workers became trapped in a smokehouse and died.Ontario-based Sofina Foods Inc. was directed by a judge Thursday to put the money toward a workplace training program.
The sister of Tyler Keizer, who was fatally shot in 2016, is speaking out after months of keeping quiet due to a publication ban.
