Eight months after receiving a complaint that a group of former world junior hockey players sexually assaulted a woman in a downtown hotel, London police detective Stephen Newton had reached the end of his investigation.In a phone call with E.M., as the complainant is known because of a publication ban on her name, he told her he didn’t have enough evidence to continue his probe.
Numbers obtained by Global News show the retention crisis is getting worse, as Prime Minister Mark Carney vows to rebuild the military.
