Residents of Sandy Lake First Nation in Northwestern Ontario have been evacuated due to lingering wildfires. Until the blaze fades away, the City of Cornwall will be offering a helping hand to all displaced residents, providing support systems and a shoulder to lean on. Kristy Cameron chats with Layton Woods, Cornwall’s Deputy Fire Chief, in Hour 2. Meantime, Canada’s Auditor General has unveiled a long-awaited report on the ArriveCan app, and the results might not surprise you. It has ruled that the Trudeau government failed to follow its own procurement and security rules. Multiple wildfires are burning in Newfoundland, prompting more evacuation orders and destroying structures in a community in the eastern part of the province.Newfoundland and Labrador’s premier said during a media briefing Tuesday the out-of-control wildfire near Small Point–Adam’s Cove–Blackhead–Broad Cove and Kingston grew significantly overnight.
